Green Hill Farms - David and Josh Gunn
Green Hill Farms started in 1904 has grown from the original 192 acres to over 1500 today. The farm has been a row crop, tobacco, and cow-calf operation until a few years ago when they shifted focus to offer custom grazing for feeder cattle. They have the resources to custom graze up to 2000 head. They still maintain a cow herd of 70 cows.
Management Intensive Grazing principles are used to obtain high quality and efficient forage production.
Cattle are handled using “low stress” techniques learned from Bud Williams, the “cow whisperer”.

Anderson Ranch
The Anderson Ranch is composed of over 1650 acres and was established in 1954 by G.K. Anderson who passed away last year. George Anderson (G.K.’s son) and his son Ed manage the day-to-day operation of the farm.
Originally a cow-calf operation, the last cows were sold in 1979. They are a partner in USA Feedyard in Groover, TX. They stocker purchased calves and retain ownership to sell fed cattle.
Each year approximately 1200 stocker cattle weighing 400 to 600 pounds utilize about 2/3 of the available pasture. Their goal is to add about 200 to 300 pounds of gain with grass. The remaining 1/3 of the farm is devoted to 700 to 850 pound cutting bulls and other larger calves.
